The Countdown Has Begun

After all the final little details, the manuscript is officially submitted! Yahoo!

According to our publisher, here’s a rough timeline toward final production:

Once the manuscript is submitted and received, there is a 1-2 week pre-production prep phase. Every detail of the submission is verified as complete, and the schedule for production is set. During weeks 3-8, the cover is designed, the book is typeset, and the book’s back cover is formatted. During weeks 9-10, we will review the front cover, review the text, review the back cover text, and marketing services will begin. During weeks 11-13, the book is prepped to print and the free books will be printed and shipped. During weeks 14-21, we will receive the free books, the marketing services will be completed, and we’ll be stocking up on the book.

We have also contracted for professionally crafted press release services that will grab the attention of the media. This will help make this book stand out against the backdrop of other POD’s by sending our press release to journalists, book reviewers, radio producers, newspaper reporters, and thousands of other media channels via popular newswire and press release services. It will give major media all the information they need for news stories, columns, articles, and hopefully open the door for some Christian radio interviews. We’ll receive a copy to send to our local media – we’ll make sure each of you gets a copy to share with your local newspapers and bookstores as well.

The book will be available to over 25,000 bookstores and be made available on Amazon.com, Target.com, Borders.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and made available to Family Christian Stores, and hundreds of other churches and independent bookstores. The book will also be available for international markets, so friends and families living overseas will also have access to it.

We are in the process of reworking the Women of Passions website to focus primarily on the book; your friends and family can easily purchase their copies from the website once it is complete and the book is available.

So, continue to pray for God to use your stories to bless, challenge, and encourage everyone who takes the time to read Women of Passions: Ordinary Women Serving An Extraordinary God. We’ll keep you posted as the timeline progresses.

But we figure by mid-July, you’ll have your copy in hand, ready to share with friends and family, encouraging them to purchase their own copies. Every cent in royalties goes into the ministry to fund the evangelistic ministries in India and Uganda.

I can’t wait to see what God does with this book because of YOUR willingness to participate in this awesome project!

Love,

Jan & Jeanice
